GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The 600A Threaded Flange (TH) provides a practical and reliable connection solution for piping systems where welding is not required, not permitted or difficult to perform. Its characteristic internally threaded bore allows the flange to be screwed directly onto a compatible externally threaded pipe, creating a secure mechanical connection while maintaining a conventional bolted flange interface for connection to valves, fittings, equipment and other pipeline components.
One of the main advantages of the Threaded Flange design is the simplicity of installation. Since the flange can be connected directly to the pipe by means of the threaded joint, no welding operation is required at the flange-to-pipe connection. This can reduce installation time and eliminates the need for welding equipment, post-weld preparation and associated hot-work procedures.
This feature makes Threaded Flanges particularly useful for maintenance works, utility piping, industrial installations and locations where welding access is restricted or hot work must be minimized. The threaded connection also facilitates assembly and component replacement, providing a convenient solution for piping systems where practical installation and serviceability are important.
The accurately machined internal thread provides controlled engagement with the corresponding pipe thread, while the external flange drilling allows the assembly to be connected in the same way as a conventional bolted flange. This combination makes the 600A Threaded Flange an effective transition between threaded pipework and flanged valves, pumps, fittings, instruments or other equipment.
Because the connection does not require welding, the design can also be advantageous when working with piping systems or installation environments where thermal effects from welding need to be avoided. Correct thread specification, sealing method and material compatibility should always be selected according to the operating medium, pressure, temperature and applicable piping standard.
Depending on project requirements, the 600A Threaded Flange is available in sizes from approximately 3/8" up to 40", with nominal pressure ratings ranging from PN6 bar up to PN100 bar and ASME pressure classes from Class 150 up to Class 2500, depending on the selected size, material, thread specification and applicable standard.
The flanges can be supplied with Flat Face (FF) or Raised Face (RF) sealing surfaces, allowing the connection arrangement to be selected according to the mating flange, gasket system and specific piping requirements.
As part of the 600A flange range, Threaded Flanges can be manufactured according to internationally recognized flange systems including GB, ASME, JIS and DIN standards, providing flexibility for different engineering specifications and international markets. Dimensions, drilling patterns, thread types and pressure ratings can be selected according to the applicable project standard.
A broad selection of materials can also be supplied to meet different mechanical, temperature and corrosion-resistance requirements, including Q235, A105, 20#, 20G, 16Mn, Q245R, Q345R, S304, S304L, S316, S316L and other alloy materials, according to the required service conditions.
The combination of weld-free installation, easy threaded assembly, convenient connection to flanged equipment, multiple pressure classes, FF and RF sealing surfaces and a wide selection of international standards and materials makes the 600A Threaded Flange a versatile and practical solution for industrial piping systems.
Flanges can also be customized according to customer drawings and specific project requirements, including dimensions, material, pressure rating, flange facing, drilling pattern, thread type and applicable standard.
