GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The 600A Slip-On Flange provides a practical, reliable and cost-effective solution for connecting pipes within a wide variety of industrial piping systems. Its characteristic design allows the flange to slide directly over the outside diameter of the pipe, making positioning and alignment particularly easy before welding.
One of the main advantages of the Slip-On design is its installation simplicity. Unlike flange types that require the pipe end to be precisely prepared or positioned before welding, the pipe passes through the bore of the flange, allowing the installer to adjust the flange position and bolt-hole orientation before securing it in place. This provides greater flexibility during assembly and can significantly simplify installation, particularly in long pipeline runs or systems where accurate flange alignment is important.
Once correctly positioned, the flange is normally secured to the pipe by fillet welding, creating a strong and dependable connection. Its straightforward geometry makes the Slip-On Flange an efficient option for general-purpose piping applications where ease of installation, reduced fabrication time and reliable performance are key requirements.
The design also offers practical advantages during fabrication. Because the flange can be positioned along the pipe before welding, installers have greater control over the final alignment of the connection with valves, fittings, pumps and other flanged equipment. This helps reduce installation adjustments and makes the 600A Slip-On Flange particularly suitable for piping systems requiring multiple flanged connections.
Depending on project requirements, the flanges can be supplied with Flat Face (FF) or Raised Face (RF) sealing surfaces, ensuring compatibility with different gasket arrangements and mating flange configurations.
The 600A Slip-On Flange can be manufactured according to several internationally recognized standards, including GB, ASME, JIS and DIN, providing extensive flexibility for different engineering specifications and international markets. Sizes are available from approximately 3/8" up to 80", with specifications ranging from DN10 up to DN4000 and nominal pressure classes from PN2.5 bar up to PN100 bar, depending on the selected standard and configuration.
A broad range of materials is available to meet different mechanical, temperature and corrosion-resistance requirements, including Q235, A105, 20#, 20G, 16Mn, Q245R, Q345R, S304, S304L, S316, S316L and other alloy materials.
Manufacturing can be carried out in accordance with applicable standards including HG/T 20592, HG/T 20615, GB/T 9119, JB/T 81, NB/T 47020–NB/T 47027, ASME B16.5, JIS B2238/JIS B2239 and applicable DIN flange standards, according to the required product specification.
The combination of easy pipe insertion, simple flange positioning, convenient bolt-hole alignment, efficient welding installation, multiple pressure classes and a wide selection of materials and international standards makes the 600A Slip-On Flange a versatile and economical choice for industrial piping systems.
Flanges can also be customized according to customer drawings and specific project requirements, including dimensions, material, pressure rating, sealing face and applicable standard.
